Furious at his wife for purchasing a dishwasher without consulting him first, a man in China took out his rage on innocent furniture by reducing them to chaotic mess.
The incident soon found its way to social media after the distraught wife posted a video documenting the chain of events on Jan 8, reported SCMP.
Bought dishwasher online
In the clip, the unnamed woman said she purchased the 1,500 yuan (approx. RM872) dishwasher from an online platform without her husband’s knowledge.
She explained the reason she bought it was because the tap water in winter was too cold for her to wash dishes by hand, adding that her husband doesn’t do any washing up.

Her husband later came to know of the dishwasher when a worker came to install it at their flat.
Destroys furniture out of rage
The woman’s husband then asked her to cancel the order and return the dishwasher but she refused.
When her husband argued that the family wouldn’t be able to afford the high water and electricity charges, the woman retorted: “It is not expensive. We can afford it.”
Unfortunately, this set off the “trigger” and the woman’s husband suddenly lost it and began destroying and flinging furniture around the house.

Traumistised by his display of anger, the woman left the home in tears stayed the night at a hotel.
She also expressed confusion over the matter, saying that she doesn’t understand why her husband would object to her buying a dishwasher.
Tough financial situation
According to 163.com, it reported that the woman’s an unemployed stay-at-home mum with two children living in their hometown, while her husband works far from home and earns 11,000 yuan (approx. RM6,400) a month.
The woman later admitted that she often fights with her husband over her shopping purchases and said her husband is currently drowning in 200,000 yuan (approx. RM116,300) worth of debt.

At the end, she returned the dishwasher the next day and her husband called her to apologise for his outburst.
He added that he was in a bad mood at the time and promised to buy her a “smaller” dishwasher.
