While it’s understandable to experience moments where we are in urgent need to relieving ourselves, it doesn’t mean that we can do in an indiscriminate and inconsiderable manner.
A man was recently caught on camera allegedly urinating on an escalator in Outram MRT station in Singapore, sparking outrage among netizens.
Man caught allegedly peeing on escalator at MRT station
In a brief 3-second video shared to the Facebook group Complaint Singapore yesterday (Jan 11), it showed a man clad in a black t-shirt and dark-coloured pants allegedly peeing on an escalator at Exit 3 of the station in broad daylight.
However, his face couldn’t been seen as his back was facing the OP the entire time.

In the caption, the OP said the man, whom she claimed was from China, “stood there for an extended period of time.”
She added that an eyewitness went to report the incident to one of the station’s passenger service counters, while another individual continued to watch the man.
However, just when the individual was about to confront the man, he seemed to realise that he was being watched and quickly left using the lift.

“Upon closer inspection, the entire handrail of the escalator was contaminated by his urine,” added the OP.
Netizens disgusted
Unsurprisingly, netizens were repulsed by the man’s lack of hygiene and civic consciousness and slammed him for it.
‘This is really disgusting!’

‘Sick guy…want to pee, please go to the toilet lah. This is not the correct place to do your business leh…’

Mothership reached out to police regarding the incident and were told that a report has been lodged and that investigations are ongoing.
