Man Bombards Ex-GF’s House With Fake Food Orders After She Rejected His Marriage Proposal

Breakup gone wild—now delivery riders are caught in it 😬
It’s not uncommon for food delivery riders to face the occasional difficult customer. But for one rider in Kuching, a recent delivery turned into something much more disturbing.

Recently, a food delivery rider unknowingly walked into an alleged long-standing revenge scheme, where a man has been spamming fake food orders to his ex-girlfriend’s home, all because she rejected his marriage proposal.

What seemed like a normal delivery turned out to be a scam

A food delivery rider named Tracy L-Law recently shared her unsettling experience on Facebook to warn fellow riders.

Around 10pm, she received an order while on duty and proceeded to pick up and deliver the food to a house located at the Kuching area.

Upon arriving at the house, Tracy noticed a sign on the front gate that read “Please do not honk”, a clear request presumably made to avoid disturbing the neighbourhood.

Respecting the instruction, she followed standard procedure and messaged the customer to inform them of her arrival.

The customer replied shortly after with a polite “Thanks”, but did not come out to collect the food.

After waiting for a couple of minutes with no one appearing, she sent a follow-up message. This time, the customer asked her to honk and even sent a photo of the house to confirm the location.

Despite the instruction, Tracy remained hesitant as it was late at night, and she didn’t want to disturb nearby residents.

When she tried calling the customer, she realised the number was from China, which made her even more cautious.

‘It’s a scam!’

Just then, a silver Axia pulled up behind her. The driver rolled down his window and warned her: “It’s a scammer!”

He explained that he had been tricked the night before by the same address, though the order came under a different name.

According to him, this individual had set up multiple accounts to repeatedly trick riders into delivering food.

To make things more suspicious, the Axia driver advised Tracy not to leave the food unattended, as it could be stolen. There were CCTV cameras around, making her feel even more uneasy.

She immediately called her boyfriend and tried to reach Grab Help, though late-night support was limited.

Another rider arrives with same order

Shockingly, another GrabFood rider arrived at the scene soon after—also responding to the same order. Realising something was seriously wrong, both riders tried reaching out to Grab’s support team again.

Determined to get to the bottom of it, Tracy approached a couple living next door. What they told her was even more disturbing.

Allegedly sparked by rejected marriage proposal

The neighbours revealed that a man from China had previously tried to pursue and even proposed to the daughter of the family living at the house in question.

However, the relationship didn’t work out. Since then, the man had allegedly been placing fake food orders to their home as a form of revenge.

The harassment has reportedly been ongoing since last year, with food delivery riders showing up almost every day, from early morning right up to 2am.

Police reports have been made, and even the local committee has stepped in. But the man continues to place orders, sometimes using nearby house numbers to throw off drivers.

A word of warning to fellow riders

Tracy ended her post by warning riders not to accept orders from that area and encouraged others to share the message around.

She also expressed her gratitude to the Axia driver for alerting her in time and emphasised how incidents like this can waste valuable time and pose unnecessary risk to riders.
