There’s a reason dashcams have become a must-have for drivers these days – they capture moments you wouldn’t believe unless you saw them with your own eyes.
A recent incident at a Bukit Bintang traffic light, where a shirtless man tried to pull off a dramatic scam, all caught on camera.
In the clip shared by the driver @arlinalen, dashcam footage captured a shirtless man standing in front of a car around 11.05 pm on 9 October 2024.
The car had stopped at a red light at Bukit Bintang’s busy junction when the man approached, seemingly asking for money.
Text overlaying the video read, “This guy came and begged for some money. Unfortunately, I didn’t have cash.”
But things didn’t end there. As the light turned green, the man didn’t budge. Instead, he continued blocking the car’s path, prompting the driver to honk.
What happened next? The man suddenly dropped to the ground, pretending he had been hit by the vehicle.
Confused but not fooled, the driver stayed put, while the man tried to play the victim to other road users.
However, it didn’t seem to work. A nearby motorcyclist stepped in and called out the man for his act.
Realizing his plan wasn’t going anywhere, the man eventually got up and walked away, leaving the driver and everyone else to continue on their way.
