Since Sept 30, Malaysians across the country have been enjoying the Budi95 subsidy, where RON95 petrol only costs RM1.99 per litre.
However, there are certain conditions being tied to it, where only Malaysians who have a valid driving license, MyKad, and drives a Malaysian-registered vehicle are eligible for it.
‘Bro, can pump for me using your MyKad?’
In a viral Threads post, a man named Khirul said he was at a petrol station when he was approached by a man who offered him RM50 to use his own MyKad and pump RM1.99 RON95 into his Honda Civic.
When asked why he couldn’t do it by himself, the man admitted that he wasn’t eligible for the subsidised fuel as he didn’t possess a valid driving license.

When Khirul told the man that he was using an app to pump petrol and that his 300 litre quota was running low, the man’s expression soured and mumbled an “Ok bro” in response.
‘Report him!’
Netizens expressed shock in the comment section and wondered how the man was able to drive freely without having a driving license.
They also urged Khirul not to help the man and instead report him to the authorities.
‘That guy should be reported for driving without a valid license.’

‘Crazy that he openly declared he’s been driving without a valid license? Should’ve called the police there and then.’

‘Don’t help such people. Why doesn’t he feel he has the responsibility to have a driving license? The car itself is expensive too. Others should obey the country’s traffic laws.’
