Earlier this month, former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad was rushed to the National Heart Institute (IJN) following a fall at his KL home.
He sustained a fractured hip due to the fall and was hospitalised for 22 days.
Went out for coffee at mall
A recent photo showed the 100-year-old politician enjoying a cup of coffee at Pavilion Damansara while seated on a wheelchair.
This was later confirmed by his press secretary Sufi Yusoff, who said this was Mahathir’s first public appearance since his hospitalisation, reported NST.
This isn’t the first time Mahathir had gone through a health scare throughout his storied life, leaving many worried for his health.
Back in July 2024, he was admitted to IJN for a cough that wouldn’t go away and had been travelling back and forth different hospitals.
Aside from that, he also survived several heart attacks and Covid-19 but managed to recover.
