You focus on staying safe, JPN will handle your documents.
If your important documents were swept away or damaged in the floods, you’re not alone and you don’t have to panic.

Pretty much all the key ones you’ll need to rebuild your life after the disaster:

  • MyKad
  • Birth Certificates
  • Death Certificates
  • Civil Marriage Certificates
  • Citizenship Certificates
  • And other official documents issued by JPN

If the floods damaged it, washed it away or rendered it unreadable, the replacement is free.

JPN knows many flood victims can’t travel. Roads are cut off, transport is limited, and some families are still in temporary shelters.

That’s why they’re sending mobile units directly to affected areas using buses, vans and MEKAR 4WD vehicles.

These teams will only move in once routes are safe, but once they do, they’ll be on the ground offering immediate help.

Here’s what these mobile units can help you with:

  • Replacing a lost or damaged MyKad
  • Issuing new birth, death or marriage certificates
  • Handling citizenship matters
  • Checking or verifying your personal records
  • Guiding you through next steps if you lost multiple documents

Why this matters during a disaster:

  • Many families can’t leave their homes or evacuation centres
  • Transport services are disrupted
  • Documents are needed for aid, schooling, insurance and more
  • It prevents overcrowding at JPN offices
  • Vulnerable groups like elderly and children can still get help

This initiative is meant to reach those who need it most, instead of expecting them to travel when they’re already struggling.

If you’re affected, here’s what JPN wants you to know

Right now, your priority should be your safety, your family, and whatever you can still protect. Your documents can be rebuilt and JPN is making sure it’s easy, free and accessible.

They’re not asking you to queue, travel or go through complicated procedures. They’re meeting you halfway, and in many areas, they’re literally coming to your doorstep.

Stay safe. Take care of your loved ones. The paperwork can be recovered and JPN is already working on it.
