Whenever we buy food outside, we would expect vendors to uphold a certain level of hygiene in handling food so that we don’t get sick after eating it.
Unfortunately, cleanliness may not be the top priority of certain stalls, leading to customers discovering disgusting objects in their food or falling ill from it.
M’sian woman finds fly eggs inside ayam gepuk order
This was the case for a woman named Leena, who took to Threads to share her horrifying encounter.
In the post, she shared two photos of her ayam gepuk order, with one being a close-up of a tiny pile of fly eggs sitting on top of the chicken liver.

Although she managed to spot the fly eggs in time, it nevertheless left a sickening twist to her stomach, adding that her throat still “felt nauseous”.
“Was just about to take a bite and I saw a bunch of fly eggs. You (the stall) are disgusting!” she exclaimed in the caption.
‘Report to KKM!’
Netizens were deeply disgusted by Leena’s ‘extra’ ingredient and urged her to lodge a complaint with the Health Ministry (KKM).

One jokingly asked Lenna to check her receipt to see if the stall had charged her for a serving of fly eggs.

In a separate post, Leena said she had filed a report with KKM and is waiting for action to be taken against the stall.
In the meantime however, she added she will be avoiding ayam gepuk for at least a year so that she can recover from her “trauma”.
