A clip showing a van driver going absolutely ham at a onlooker after the latter confronted him for littering at the carpark has recently gone viral online.
Netizens have since slammed the van driver for his uncouth behaviour, with many criticising him for using vulgarities despite clearly being in the wrong.
Swears at onlooker, tells him to ‘go back M’sia’
At the start of the clip, it showed that the driver of a white Toyota HiAce van had thrown a plastic cup, a box, and tissue paper onto the floor of a parking lot beside his vehicle.
When an onlooker chided him for littering, the van driver became angry and retorted: “I got throw [in] your car or not?”, to which the latter replied by saying that wasn’t what he claimed.
However, this only seemed to anger the van driver more as he pointed to the ground while yelling: “This is your floor? Your floor, ah?” before rounding it off with “F**k you! Go back Malaysia!”
He then slammed the door and flipped the middle finger at the onlooker who called him out for littering.
For the next few seconds, the van driver rolled down his window and continued his angry tirade by hurling obscenities and vulgar gestures.
In the post caption, the incident took place yesterday (Nov 30), with the OP claiming that there was a rubbish bin nearby.
The OP added that when they told the van driver to throw his rubbish properly, he became aggressive and said: “You go back Malaysia! Don’t come to Singapore. I throw my rubbish, it’s my problem.”
This is not about nationality. This is about basic respect, cleanliness, and civic responsibility.
“Singapore is clean because everyone plays their part — and nobody should be treated this way for simply reminding someone to do the right thing,” the OP wrote.
Condemnation
Netizens weren’t too pleased by the van driver’s unjustified outburst and promptly slammed him in the comment section.
Another wondered what Malaysia had to do with the entire incident and told the van driver to “not play country”, adding that the carpark floor didn’t belong to him either.
Meanwhile, some urged the OP to file a complaint with the National Environment Agency (NEA)
