KUALA LUMPUR: On the first day of CMCO in the Klang Valley, photos of a queue snaking across several shop lots within the Sungei Wang Plaza has emerged on social media. The reason? A store named 22 Shoes was selling ALL shoes at RM10 only.
According to SinChew Daily, the queue began to form early in the morning and extended all the way to the main entrance of the mall.
Customers tried their best to follow the SOPs such as mask wearing, social distancing, and scanning the MySejahtera QR code. Staff members and volunteers were also present to maintain order, including limiting the number of customers allowed into the shop.
However, several netizens voiced their concerns over the risk of overcrowding with the implementation of CMCO starting today until March 18.
The mall’s management even promoted the event on its official Facebook page.
