DAP chairman Lim Guan Eng found himself in an unexpected predicament after accidentally kicking the edge of his bed, resulting in a dislocated fourth toe.
The incident, which happened yesterday morning (Jan 30), led his family to insist that he seek immediate medical attention.
In a Facebook post, the former finance minister shared that he was undergoing a procedure under local anaesthesia to fix his dislocated toe.
And of course, I had to bang it on the corner of my bed this morning. Thank God my family insisted that I get treated immediately,” he wrote.
Lim received treatment at Penang Island Hospital and expressed his gratitude to orthopaedic specialist Datuk Dr Oh Kim Soon, who attended to him despite being on holiday for Chinese New Year.
“Luckily, orthopaedic specialist Dato Dr Oh Kim Soon from Penang Island Hospital was kind enough to relocate it today even though he is enjoying his CNY holidays. Thanks, doc.” he added.
The 63-year-old politician’s post quickly gained attention, amassing over 11,000 reactions, 2,800 comments, and more than 146 shares on Facebook.
Many took to the comments section to wish him a speedy recovery.
