Just two days ago, on August 4 and 6, 2024, Malaysia’s badminton athletes made a smash hit at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Lee Zii Jia, Aaron Chia & Soh Wooi Yik receive SUVs & RM100K
Lee Zii Jia and the dynamic doubles duo Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik soared to new heights, clinching bronze medals and bringing home glory for the nation. Their performances truly showed that they’re a cut above the rest!
To celebrate their “net”-tacular achievements, Chery Malaysia has announced a special reward for these Olympic heroes.
Their official Facebook page posted a heartfelt message:
“Hats off, Malaysian Tigers! Thank you for driving the nation to new heights. Chery is proud to honor your excellence on the world stage with a Tiggo 7 Pro for each of our champions. We can’t wait to welcome you home and support you in your pursuit of greatness with us!”
As a testament to their outstanding performances, each athlete will receive a Chery Tiggo 7 Pro SUV, valued at RM123,800.
This generous reward, which was promised by Chery Malaysia in June, acknowledges the hard work and dedication of these athletes who played their way to medals at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Awards for the Olympians
Here’s how Chery Malaysia is serving up the awards:
- Gold Medalists will drive away in a Chery Tiggo 8 Pro.
- Silver Medalists will get an Omoda E5 electric SUV.
- Bronze Medalists, including Lee Zii Jia, Aaron Chia, and Soh Wooi Yik, will each take home a Chery Tiggo 7 Pro.
RM100k and a monthly Olympic Bonus Scheme of RM2,000 for life
In addition to Chery Malaysia’s reward, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Hannah Yeoh, also announced that the Sports Medal Incentive Scheme (SHAKAM) will provide RM100,000 to the bronze medalists. They will also receive a monthly Olympic Bonus Scheme of RM2,000 for life.
