On the very day 413,372 students sit for one of the most important exams of their lives, the Education Ministry is now investigating viral claims of leaked SPM 2025 papers allegedly being sold online.
Education director-general Dr Mohd Azam Ahmad said the ministry is aware of the allegations circulating on social media, although no official complaints have been lodged so far.

He added that both the ministry and the Malaysian Examinations Syndicate are currently scrutinising the claims, reported NST.
“For now, we believe the SPM questions are still well-secured,” he said during a visit to SMK Putrajaya Presint 11(1), where he observed the first day of the national examination.
Screenshots offering ‘SPM leaks’ for RM499 go viral
The online furore began when several screenshots emerged showing alleged sellers offering leaked SPM papers for as low as RM499 per subject.
Some even promised an A grade or a refund, raising alarm among students and parents.
Examinations syndicate to follow procedure

Addressing further concerns, Mohd Azam said the Malaysian Examinations Syndicate has established steps to verify and respond to such accusations.
“I am sure they have procedures because I was once an exam director, so we know the steps to handle such allegations,” he explained.
This year’s SPM examination kicked off today, with over 413,000 candidates nationwide. The ministry urged the public to remain cautious, avoid falling for fraudulent offers, and report suspicious activity.
