In a recent development, the parents of Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin were remanded under Section 302 of the Penal Code, a move that has intensified public interest and speculation.

According to a report by Harian Metro, their lawyer, Mahmud Jumaat from the law firm Emir Mahmud & Co, announced that he would no longer represent the couple as of today, citing unavoidable reasons for his decision.
Mahmud expressed his hope for a smooth legal process, urging the public to respect the ongoing investigation.
“I pray that this case proceeds smoothly according to the existing legal process,” he stated.
“As a legal practitioner, I advise all parties to respect the legal process and refrain from making wild speculations about this case for the common good.”
Zayn Rayyan’s parents remanded
The couple, both 28 years old, were detained by police at their family home in Puncak Alam last Friday. The arrest has led to a week-long remand to facilitate further investigations under the stringent provisions of Section 302 of the Penal Code, which deals with murder charges.

Selangor Police Chief, Datuk Hussein Omar Khan, confirmed the remand, stating that it was necessary for the thorough investigation of the case. The police have yet to disclose additional details, maintaining the confidentiality required for such sensitive matters.
