Changi Airport is renowned all across the world not only for its state-of-the-art facilities, but also its exemplary customer service.
And it seems that this level of service is not only extended to human travellers only, but to those from the animal world too.
Lady staff ‘guides’ monkey out of Changi Airport
In an amusing 11-second clip shared on TikTok by @thesingaporeanson, it showed a woman, believed to be a staff member, guiding the monkey which had wandered its way into the Changi Airport Terminal 2 Departure Hall yesterday (Dec 3).

Throughout the clip, the lady is seen speaking and gesturing at the monkey in a bid to usher it out via the airport’s exit.
Despite the curious stares thrown its way, the monkey seemed to understand what the lady was trying to say at it and took several steps towards the direction she was pointing at.

Just when it seemed that everything was going well, the monkey suddenly had a change of heart and darted towards the right, away from the exit before the clip came to an end.
In the in-text caption, the OP cheekily commented that the monkey was probably checking in for its flight, adding that “everyone deserves a holiday.”
According to Singapore’s NParks, the long-tailed macaque is one of the country’s native primate species and makes forested areas its natural habitat.

But, its innately “curious nature” often causes it to wander into its immediate surroundings to look for food and explore.
Netizens praise staff’s customer service
The clip, which has since garnered over 1 million views, saw netizens showering praise on the lady staff who took her time to patiently guide the monkey out from the airport.
‘The lady is like, “Sir, this way to the coconut trees.”‘

‘The lady really has that patience.’

‘The lady staff is doing an excellent job. Her boss better give her a pay raise and recognition for her dedication. Good job. Glad no one or the animal got hurt.’
