Great news for Thaipusam celebrants and commuters.
The Ministry of Transport has announced free KTM Komuter rides for two days in conjunction with the Thaipusam 2025 celebrations.

Non-stop KTM Komuter services for 4 days
This announcement was shared by KTM Berhad on their Facebook page today (Feb 4).
To accommodate the large number of devotees and visitors travelling to Batu Caves, KTM Berhad (KTMB) will provide additional train services for four days and three nights, from 9 to 12 February 2025.
The Pelabuhan Klang – Tanjung Malim – Pelabuhan Klang route will also run on a full schedule, ensuring smooth travel for all passengers.
Free train rides on 10 & 11 February
As an added convenience, Transport Minister YB Loke Siew Fook announced that KTM Komuter services in the Klang Valley will be free on 10 and 11 February 2025.
This initiative aims to ease travel congestion and encourage public transport usage during the festival.
The announcement was made at Batu Caves Komuter Station, with key figures in attendance, including KTMB Group CEO YBhg. Datuk Mohd Rani Hisham Samsudin, RAC CEO YBhg. Dato’ Azhar Ahmad, APAD Director-General YBhg. Datuk Azlan bin Al Bakri, and Rapid Bus CEO Encik Ku Jamil Zakaria.

Thaipusam is one of the largest Hindu festivals in Malaysia, attracting thousands of devotees and tourists.
With round-the-clock KTM Komuter services and two days of free rides, this initiative ensures a smoother and more convenient journey for everyone.
