A commuter train carrying 70 passengers derailed near Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) yesterday (12 April), affecting ETS and KTM rail services.
Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd (KTMB) chief executive officer Mohd Zain Mat Taha assured that all passengers and workers on board the train are safe and sound.

The incident caused slight delays on the Batu Caves – Sungai Gadut route.
“KTM and ETS rail services from Gemas to Padang Besar are also experiencing delays due to the derailment,” said KTMB in a statement.
The company is currently trying its best to solve the issue to ensure everything returns to normal soon.
