Receiving an appreciation letter is always delightful, but when it comes from foreigners acknowledging kindness, it feels even more heartwarming.
Recently, the Sarawak Road Transport Department (JPJ) shared a touching letter they received from two South Korean nationals, praising the exceptional service provided by a JPJ officer at the Kuching branch.
The heartwarming moment was shared on JPJ Sarawak’s official Facebook page, where they posted a picture of the letter, expressing their gratitude for the recognition.
“Thank you for your positive feedback on the services provided by JPJ Sarawak. We truly appreciate your kind words and will continue to strive to deliver the best service possible,” JPJ Sarawak wrote in their caption, reflecting their commitment to excellence.

The couple, Erica and Sung, couldn’t stop singing praises for an officer named Aszerina, who assisted them in converting their South Korean driving licences to Malaysian licences.
In the letter, they mentioned “We received an email informing us that our Malaysian driver’s licence was ready for collection.”
“We wanted to send a compliment to the person responsible for helping us, but unfortunately, the email address was not a replyable one. So, we decided to write a letter ourselves.” they expressed.
The couple further went on to describe how the officer kindly explained the documents needed and guided them through the entire process, always with a bright smile. Her warmth and friendliness made them feel so welcome as foreigners.
“Thanks to her, we have grown even fonder of Malaysia and Kuching.” they shared.
They also said their first experience visiting JPJ turned into a wonderful memory, and they cannot thank her enough for her kindness and care.
This letter showcases not only the professionalism of the JPJ Sarawak staff but also how simple acts of kindness can leave a lasting impression on visitors from other countries.
