Imagine dreaming of your favourite actor, and waking up a millionaire — sounds like a K-drama plot, right?
Well, that’s exactly what happened to a South Korean couple, who took home a jaw-dropping KRW2 billion (approx. RM6.2 million) after winning the Spito 2000 scratch lottery earlier this month.
And the cherry on top? The wife dreamt of Lovely Runner heartthrob Byeon Woo Seok calling her name at a big event, handing her a gift, and giving her a warm hug — all just days before their big win!

Bought the ticket during a casual date
According to 8days, the couple, who were out on a date in Wonju, Gangwon Province, decided to try their luck at a lottery shop.
The husband, who often buys lottery tickets in small amounts, originally planned to just get a regular Lotto ticket — similar to Singapore’s Toto. But then, he suddenly thought of how his wife enjoyed scratching Spito 2000 tickets and bought a few of those too.
What a spontaneous (and profitable) decision that turned out to be!
She scratched the ticket in the car and… jackpot!
While waiting for her husband to finish running errands, the wife started scratching the tickets in the car.
That’s when it happened — she realised they had hit the first prize worth KRW2 billion (RM6.2 million)!
The dream that might’ve predicted it all
What made this story even more dreamy was what the wife revealed next. She had a dream about Byeon Woo Seok not long before they bought the ticket. In the dream, she met the actor at a large event.
He called out her name, handed her a prize, gave her a gift, and even shared a warm hug.
According to her husband, the 33-year-old actor had a “luminous halo” around him — talk about celestial vibes! She truly believed the dream was a sign of good fortune, and boy, was she right.
What will they do with the money?
Instead of splurging recklessly, the husband shared that they plan to use the winnings to pay off their loans and finally buy a house.
Of course, he didn’t forget to thank Byeon Woo Seok, saying the actor had unknowingly brought good luck to their family.
We don’t know about you, but we’re definitely going to start paying more attention to our dreams from now on.
And maybe… buy a scratch ticket or two. Who knows — your K-drama bias might just bring you luck too!
