In yet another momentous achievement for our very own Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), it has come out on top ahead of hundreds of airports globally.
This comes after it was named as the best airport in the world when it comes to service quality by the Airports Council International (ACI).
KLIA #1 airport globally for service quality
According to ACI’s ‘Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Global Performance Departures Passenger Satisfaction Report: KUL Benchmark Performance, Third Quarter 2024 (3Q 2024)’, KLIA scored a perfect score of 5.00 based on a scale from 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent).

With this score, it also means that KLIA has officially surpassed the ASQ Global Average score for Overall Satisfaction of 4.32.
This is thanks to the airport achieving 5.00 across several categories, when compared to 4.88 for the Custom Panel Average, 2.77 for the Asia-Pacific Average, and 4.42 for airports handling over 40 million passengers every year.
On top of that, KLIA managed to maintain its perfect 5.00 score for overall experience, where it outperformed in the ASQ Global Average (4.19), the Custom Panel Average (4.79), the Asia-Pacific Average (4.65), and the Over 40 Million Passengers Average (4.31).

The survey, which was carried out  between July 1 and Sept 12, 2024, saw a total of 352 passengers aged 16 years and older taking part. A total of 355 airports across the world also participated in the ASQ Departures Main Programme during Q3 2024.
