Resonance Consultancy has released its first Asia-Pacific (APAC) city rankings, naming Singapore as the top city based on livability, popularity, and prosperity.
According to Resonance Consultancy, Kuala Lumpur was placed at 10th, while Tokyo and Seoul ranked second and third.
Singapore secured the top spot

The survey asked respondents three questions: which three cities they would most like to live in, which three cities they would most like to visit, and which three cities they believe offer the best job opportunities.
In the perception survey, Singapore received the highest number of nominations across all three categories, placing first overall. In terms of city performance, Singapore ranked 28th for livability, 3rd for popularity, and 5th for prosperity.
When combining both perception and performance results, Singapore achieved 2nd place for livability, 2nd for popularity, and 1st for prosperity, securing the top spot overall.
Kuala Lumpur secured its position in the top 10 by excelling in affordability, connectivity, and vibrant urban experiences.
While it ranked lower in livability due to traffic congestion and air quality concerns, the city remains a major economic hub with strong GDP growth, a dynamic job market, and a well-connected international airport.

Assessed 100 cities
The rankings assessed 100 cities with over 1 million residents, evaluating city performance in terms of livability, economic strength, and connectivity, as well as public perception based on Google searches, social media check-ins, and nightlife options.
This APAC-specific ranking offers better regional comparison than global rankings, where Tokyo previously ranked higher than Singapore.
