For many Malaysians, the first impression of Kuala Lumpur is that of a concrete jungle characterized by crowds, massive traffic jams, and a fast pace of life, leaving one with little time to smell the roses.
However, according to an England-based website, Love2Laundry, Kuala Lumpur is listed among the world’s Top 10 Least Stressful Cities one can find.
The results were based on environmental and social factors such as friendliness, public transportation, spas, nature & parks, food costs for two, average sunlight hours, air pollution levels, and population density.
The full ranking is as below:
- Adelaide, Australia
- Vancouver, Canada
- Honolulu, Hawaii
- Chiang Mai, Thailand
- Tokyo, Japan
- Taipei, Taiwan
- Madrid, Spain
- Singapore
- Sydney, Australia
- Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Kuala Lumpur was also crowned as the second friendliest city and had the cheapest food costs than other cities on the list.
The website mentioned that the purpose of the list was to help tourists plan a stress-free vacation in a foreign city instead of vacationing at the beach.
