Malaysians are generally a kind lot who will not hesitate to come to another person’s aid when the situation calls for it.
This was exhibited once again at a bus stop in KL, where two tourists from China were left feeling touched and grateful for a Malaysian man who came to their rescue.
Had no cash to pay processing fee
In a Xiaohongshu post, the OP wrote that she was scheduled to board a bus travelling from KL to Singapore and had to exchange her e-tickets for physical ones.
When she and her companion reached the bus station, it was already late at night and a counter which only accepted cash was open at the time.

With no Ringgit notes or credit cards on them, the OP said she began to get nervous as the bus was leaving in 10 minutes.
She then asked a woman who was queuing up at the counter whether they could exchange some Ringgit notes with her using WeChat or Alipay but the latter told her that she never used those applications before.
M’sian man hands over RM2
The OP said a man who in front of the queue turned around and asked what was happening. Upon understanding the situation, he told the OP that the processing fee was RM0.70 per person.
But when he saw that the OP didn’t have a single Ringgit note on her, he immediately took RM2 out from his wallet and gave it to her.

Although the OP tried her best to repay the man’s kindness, he repeatedly declined the offer and urged her to quickly settle her ticketing issue before leaving the scene.
The man’s act has since left the OP feeling grateful for his kindness, where she wrote:
“We didn’t have a small gift to offer in return, so all we could we do was thank him. I’m not sure if he’ll ever see this post, but we’re truly grateful. He really helped us a lot.”
