A humble act of kindness by a customer at a Kuala Lumpur eatery has captured the attention of netizens after it was shared online by the restaurant owner.
Man’s daily routine surprises restaurant owner
Azrul Shah Mohd Isa, who runs a popular restaurant in TTDI, recently noticed a regular customer buying a large amount of fried chicken every day.
Instead of using the standard takeaway packaging, the man always requested plain plastic bags.

Curious, Azrul eventually asked why.
The man’s reply stunned him—he wasn’t buying for himself but for stray cats roaming the streets of TTDI and Sungai Penchala.
Up to 30 pieces of chicken bought each day
According to Azrul, the man would quietly purchase between 20 to 30 pieces of fried chicken daily.
He never made a fuss or asked for anything in return. Instead, his only intention was to feed the stray cats he passed on his route.
May Allah ease and multiply the sustenance of generous souls like this,” Azrul wrote in his Facebook post, which has since gone viral.
M’sians touched by man’s compassion
The story drew praise across social media, with many applauding the man’s thoughtfulness and empathy.
One particularly heartwarming comment read, ‘Such an amazing customer. This sambal hijau customer is generous, just like the owner too.’

Another user remarked, ‘He is truly a rich soul’, in reference to the man’s generosity.

Azrul added that he’s met many kind-hearted customers over the years, but this man’s silent gesture left a lasting impression.
While the world often focuses on negativity, small moments like these remind people that compassion is still alive and well.
