We’ve all seen those random videos of people enjoying banana leaf rice with the traditional spoon and fork. Get ready, because this video will leave your brain buzzing with questions.
Recently, a foreigner shared a video demonstrating what she claimed to be the “right” way to eat rice. Now, this might sound perfectly ordinary until you actually watch the video.
Believe it or not, this woman managed to stun everyone by illustrating how to eat rice using a fork and knife. Yes, you read that correctly—knife and fork, not spoon and fork.

The most surprising part? She used the back of the fork to eat the rice.
They wrote in the video “Do not flip to scoop the rice but instead gently press the rice against the fork and use the knife to secure it.”
And if that wasn’t enough to surprise you, they even suggested using other ingredients as a ‘barrier’ to prevent the rice from falling apart.

Netizens were too stunned to speak
As the video quickly went viral, netizens couldn’t help but share their reactions.
“That is the stupidest, most uncivilized way to eat rice.”

“Why not just use tweezers or something like a pin to take one grain at a time?”

“The best way to eat rice is with your fingers… Every South Asian would agree with me.”
