A money bouquet is a lavish gift for any romantic occasions like anniversaries or Valentine’s Day. As the name suggests, it is made out of real banknotes and folded into the shape of flowers, giving it a romantic and affluent look.
While most couples would be delighted to receive a money bouquet, this Malaysian lady named Jovion Ng seems to think otherwise in a Facebook post where she shared her experience in getting one and how it didn’t turn out to be as romantic as she expected.
Her post has since garnered 1,400 reactions and 8,000 shares since yesterday (March 21).
“If anyone of you has received a money bouquet, I advise you to take out the money as soon as possible!”
Ng shared a few photos of crumpled RM100 banknotes, with some sticking to each other due to hot glue being used to assemble the bouquet.
She claimed the banknotes began to tear apart and therefore could no longer be used. She also said that it was very time-consuming to remove them individually.
“Guys, if you want to give money to your girlfriend as a present, do so directly. You can give flowers bouquets too. But, there’s no need to trouble yourself into combining these two.”
Ng also expressed how heartbreaking it was to receive crumpled banknotes and possibly cause damage in the process of unfolding them. She ended her post with a disclaimer, stating that this was just her personal opinion.
