A 30-year-old businessman from Johor struck it big after using numbers randomly picked by his young daughter during a board game, winning a total of RM12.73 million.
Daughter’s board game picks turn into lucky numbers
According to a statement by STM Lottery Sdn Bhd, the e-commerce entrepreneur often plays board games with his daughter.
During one of their games, she selected a set of numbers that he later decided to bet on.
When she started picking the numbers from the game, I thought I should try to bet on them. She’s really my lucky star,” he said.
The businessman only realised his life had changed when he scanned his ticket using the Sports Toto mobile app. The win left both him and his wife stunned.
“We could barely sleep that night trying to convince ourselves that we had won the jackpot,” he shared.
Plans to invest and buy a house
Currently renting, the man said part of the winnings will go towards buying a house for the family.
He also plans to invest the rest of the money to ensure a secure future, especially for his daughter’s education.
“I’m very grateful to have won the jackpot. It has made our life easier and our future brighter,” he added.
