Bringing snow from Hokkaido to Malaysia? One Japanese netizen, @sanana_05, gave it a try, and let’s just say the heat didn’t make it easy.
The journey started with a humble plastic container labeled “ゆき” (snow).
Armed with a plastic bowl and a whole lot of ambition, @sanana_05 began this quirky snow quest, documenting each step on Instagram.
The reel takes us through the stages of this icy adventure.
She collected snow from Hokkaido’s pristine landscapes, where the temperature was a freezing -5°C. With snow packed in the container, it was time to hit the road.
Next, the train journey showcased a comical twist. “The heating is hot,” the video caption reads, as the snow began melting under the warmth of the Hokkaido train.
But, things didn’t even make it past the starting line.
“It melted before clearing the security checkpoint at the Hokkaido airport,” she told WeirdKaya.
The motivation behind it all
Turns out, Sana’s Malaysian friends inspired this frosty challenge.
“They’d never seen snow before, so I thought I’d try to bring some back for them,” Sana explained.
Even though the snow didn’t survive, the thought definitely counts!
Sana isn’t new to Malaysia either. Having lived here for over a year and attended university, she now works in the country.
