Gray cat accepts fate and ‘plays dead’
The video, shared by cat mom Zara, stars her cat, Rocket, in hot pursuit of his bestie, a gray cat who apparently has mastered the art of playing hard-to-get.
Rocket zooms after her, and when he finally pounces, he pulls off the classic hug-from-behind move. The gray cat, in full dramatic fashion, pretends to drop like a sack of catnip, but when Rocket lets go, she’s back in action—ready for another round of the “catch me if you can” game.
The grand finale? Rocket struts off to another part of the yard, where Zara gives him the ultimate challenge—dodging a teasing tree branch. It’s a classic cat vs. stick face-off, and we all know who wins in the end (hint: it’s always the cat).
They have been besties since February 2024
Speaking to WeirdKaya, Zara shared to us on her furry partners-in-crime.
“Honestly, I don’t have a name for her,” Zara laughed when asked about the gray cat’s identity.
“She’s actually a neighbour’s cat, but I have no idea whose house she belongs to. I just call her si kelabu (the gray one).”
According to Zara, Rocket and si kelabu are the ultimate cat BFFs.
“They’ve been inseparable since February 2024. They’re always playing around, and if you noticed, there’s another cat in the video too. They three always play together.”
