Popular American YouTuber Darren Watkins Jr., better known as IShowSpeed, made a highly anticipated return to Malaysia, where he met Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) owner, Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, the Regent of Johor.
IShowSpeed, 19, first captured the hearts of Malaysian fans during a previous surprise trip, where he went viral after trying local cuisine, including an impromptu stop at a burger stall in Kuala Lumpur.
The clip of his visit quickly garnered over a million views on TikTok, boosting his fame in the region.
Return after his Indonesia visit
After a brief tour in Indonesia, IShowSpeed returned to Malaysia to witness JDT’s impressive 6-1 victory over Kelantan Darul Naim in a Super League match at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium on Sunday.
Aside from attending the match, IShowSpeed spent time with Tunku Ismail, who shared that his children are huge fans of the YouTuber.
The Crown Prince arranged a video call between IShowSpeed and his kids, who were thrilled to meet their idol virtually.
During the call, IShowSpeed waved and greeted them, jokingly asking, “Why aren’t they here?”
Tunku Ismail explained that his children were currently in Singapore, which prevented them from attending the match in person.

Tunku Ismail later confirmed the visit on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, writing, “Popular online streamer IShowSpeed visited the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium during Johor Darul Ta’zim FC’s 6-1 win over Kelantan Darul Naim today.
