Yesterday (Apr 1), Malaysians residing in Putra Heights were woken up by the sound of a huge explosion and witnessed a giant fireball surging up to the sky following a leaked gas pipeline.
Following the explosion, a total of 112 people were injured by the explosion and 49 houses were severely damaged by the inferno.

Insurance aid offered to Putra Heights gas explosion victims
In light of the unfortunate incident, a local insurance company stepped in to offer much-needed aid for the victims.
In a Facebook post by Etiqa, it announced that it would be providing full coverage for every Motor, Personal Accident, Retail Fire, Homeowners and Householders customer affected by the gas explosion.

To claim this coverage, all they need to do is submit their claims via the Etiqa Special Hotline – Putra Heights Explosion Claims at +6011 1630 6646 (WhatsApp) or +603 2692 8188.
Additionally, Etiqa will also be waiving the police report requirement to ease the victims’ claim process and allow them to secure the coverage as soon as possible.
The cause of the gas explosion is still under investigation by the authorities while those injured in the incident have been admitted to the Putrajaya Hospital, Cyberjaya Hospital, and Serdang Hospital for treatment.
