Motorists traveling along the Gua Musang-Kuala Krai route near Kem Semur were left in shock after witnessing a lost and injured black panther crossing the road yesterday.
According to Utusan, one of the road users, Nor Fadzilah Abu Naim, 42, recounted the encounter, which occurred at 4.30 PM while she was on her way from Gua Musang to Kampung Renok.

“Before reaching the location, I noticed the vehicles ahead slowing down. At first, I thought the black animal was a dog,” she said.

However, upon closer look, I was shocked to realize it was actually a black panther.”

According to Nor Fadzilah, the panther was still alive but appeared to have suffered injuries on its hindquarters, possibly from being hit by a vehicle.
Meanwhile, Kelantan’s Department of Wildlife and National Parks (Perhilitan) Director, Mohamad Hafid Rohani, stated that the department has yet to receive any reports regarding the incident.
