If you’re a heavy social media user, you’d probably come across content curated by influencers—individuals who have a large online following and often create videos on a regular basis.
However, influencers have also earned a poor reputation for themselves no thanks to clips that are sometimes borderline tasteless or offensive.

‘Why do they earn more than nurses?’
A woman recently took to social media to question why influencers rake in higher earnings that those who work full-time as nurses or factory workers, reported mStar.
“It’s not fair. Nurses and factory workers study hard to get a diploma or degree but are underpaid.
“On the other hand, influencers only study until SPM and end up going viral after doing stupid things,” she ranted.

The woman clarified that she wasn’t questioning the sustenance one earned with their own hands, but merely wanted to voice her dissatisfaction.
“I feel frustrated seeing others working hard every day and earning only RM2,000, whereas while influencers are paid RM3,000 to RM4,000 for each video they produce,” she added.
What netizens said
In the comment section, netizens told the woman that being an influencer lacked the long-term stability that a professional job offered.

“Influencers are dependent on the seasons and find it hard to achieve longevity. Once the hype dies off, they will face difficulties in maintaining their earnings,” one commented.
