What was meant to be a fun road trip turned into an unforgettable mishap after a man in Indonesia accidentally left his wife behind at a highway rest stop.
The incident, which has since gone viral on social media, happened when a group of relatives and friends were travelling together in a convoy.
Assumed she got into another car
After stopping at a rest area, the group continued their journey, but the husband mistakenly assumed his wife had gotten into another family member’s car when she didn’t.
Realising she had been left behind, the wife later received help from a lorry driver, who agreed to give her a ride so she could catch up with her husband along the highway.

A video uploaded by TikTok user @ginaagiya captured the lighthearted reunion.
In the clip, the husband is seen waiting by the roadside before walking towards a stopped lorry with his arms wide open to welcome his wife as she climbs down from the vehicle.
He then presses his palms together in a gesture of thanks to the lorry driver for helping her return safely.
Ended in laughter
The moment sent the surrounding group into fits of laughter, with some seen doubling over on the ground.

The wife herself appeared amused by the situation, smiling throughout the encounter, suggesting there were no hard feelings over the accidental “abandonment”.
The video has since amassed over 4.5 million views in just five days, with many netizens commenting on how lucky the wife was to have her phone with her, allowing her to quickly contact her husband and arrange the unexpected lorry reunion.
