According to Dito, “Gold medalists will be receiving Rp6 billion (RM1.6 million), while those who earned bronze medals will be given Rp1.6 billion (RM450,000).

Additionally, the coaches of gold medal-winning athletes will receive Rp2.75 billion (RM770,000).”

The appreciation doesn’t stop with the medalists. The government is also preparing bonuses for athletes who didn’t secure a podium finish, a gesture that underscores their commitment to all participants.

Dito emphasised, “Athletes and coaches who didn’t bring home medals will also be rewarded. We’ll be announcing the specific bonuses soon.”

This year’s rewards are a significant increase from past Olympic Games, where gold medalists received Rp5.5 billion.
