Indian Couple Slapped With RM3K Fine For Being Too Lovey-Dovey While Riding Motorcycle

A viral video of a dangerous motorcycle stunt in Noida has led to a hefty fine for the riders involved.

The five-second clip, which surfaced on social media this Sunday (June 15), shows a man speeding down the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway while a young woman performs a risky stunt, seated backward on the bike’s fuel tank, her legs wrapped around the rider’s waist.

Not wearing helmets as well

Neither rider was wearing a helmet, though the woman casually held one in her hand. The bike was also seen with a Delhi number plate.

The reckless stunt quickly gained widespread attention on social media, drawing outrage from viewers who were alarmed by the potential danger the duo posed to themselves and others on the road.

In response to the viral video, Noida Traffic Police acted swiftly, issuing a fine of RM 2,870 (₹53,500) to both individuals for violating multiple traffic laws.

Police became aware through the viral video

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Lakhan Singh Yadav confirmed the fine, stating that the police became aware of the incident through the viral video.

After receiving the footage, we verified the incident using cameras installed along the expressway,” he said.

The two individuals were fined for violating several sections of the Motor Vehicles Act, including Section 181 (driving without a licence), Section 184 (dangerous driving), Section 184A (disobedience of lawful directions), and Section 194D (riding without a helmet).
