It was a bittersweet moment for a husband as his wife embarked on a new journey with PLKN.
A young husband from Kedah said he felt “sad but proud” as his wife prepared to join the National Service Training Program (PLKN) 3.0 Series 3/2025.
His wife, Noor Syafiqah Sukri, 22, reported for training at Camp 515, Kementah, on Sept 8.
Mixed emotions as wife leaves for training
Mohamad Rusdi Bahruddin Rudy Bahrin, 22, shared that he was experiencing mixed emotions knowing he would have to part with his beloved wife who has always been by his side.
I feel sad and happy at the same time. Maybe I will be busy with work after this but I hope my wife will take care of herself, stay strong, and give her best throughout PLKN,” he said.
Reported by Kosmo!, Rusdi admitted that the separation would not be easy as he has grown used to her warmth and presence every day.
“The thing I will miss most is the way she cooks, her laughter, and her smile. All of that will make me feel empty when we are apart,” he said.
Despite the sadness, Rusdi fully supports his wife’s participation in PLKN and sees it as a stepping stone for her career.
“With the PLKN certificate, I believe it will help her secure a job, especially in the government sector. So I accept it and feel proud that she was given this chance,” he said.
A total of 529 trainees for PLKN 3.0 Series 3 Year 2025 have reported for duty at two selected Territorial Army camps in the final trial series for the year.
This included 279 male trainees at Camp 505, Pekan Pahang, and 250 female trainees at Camp 515, Kuala Lumpur.
