Syed Saddiq has recently sparked public obsession with his adorable bond with actress-singer Bella Astillah as netizens can’t stop shipping them as the “perfect couple”.
Now, it seems that even prime minister Anwar Ibrahim has hopped onto the bandwagon as well, with a viral video of him asking the Muar MP when the wedding will be held.
‘Don’t worry, I’ll let you know’
In the clip posted by Syed Saddiq on his TikTok account, it showed him walking up to Anwar and presenting two sets of baju Melayu to him while quipping, “One is your favourite colour, the PKR colour, and the other is the colour pink.”
In response, Anwar remarked that Bella “has to be next to me”, suggesting that he was looking forward to having a photo taken with her, prompting Syed Saddiq to laugh and say, “Jangan kacau (Don’t tease me). Kasi chance (Give me a chance), Datuk Seri.”
As the duo continued to talk, Anwar is heard asking Syed Saddiq whether the wedding date has been decided.
The Muar MP then assured Anwar that while the date hasn’t been finalised, he would see to it that he would be the first to know when he and Bella do tie the knot.
He also added cheekily, “Later it gets reported on the news, habis (I’ll be finished).”
Towards the end of the clip, Anwar is seen whispering something in Syed Saddiq’s ear before the duo parted ways with the latter shaking Anwar’s hand and giving him a bow.

The video has since garnered over 4.4 million views at the time of writing and netizens couldn’t help but gush over Anwar and Syed Saddiq’s playful banter.
