In a remarkable act of gratitude and generosity, a self-employed Malaysian man recently won RM2.15 million from the 3+3D lottery and decided to donate the entire amount to his old school.
According to China Press, the man, who remains unnamed, visited a Malaysia Pools outlet last month and placed a casual bet on a 1+3D number combination.
“I will donate all of my winnings to my school.”
He won a small RM60 prize and, after claiming his winnings, placed another RM10 bet, slipping a RM50 note into his wallet without giving it much thought.
It was while praying to his ancestors at home that he felt an inner calling to make a promise: “If I win the lottery, I will donate all of my winnings to my school.”
The solemn wish stayed with him, and soon after, he recalled the RM50 note in his wallet. Looking at the note, he noticed the serial number began with “140,” which struck him as particularly special.
“There’s no particular reason why, but I just felt that this number was unique,” he said.

Really won him RM2 million
Moved by the feeling, he placed another bet, this time using the number “140” as a combination in a 3+3D “box” bet. He also chose the Chinese zodiac sign “Tiger” to honor significant mentors in his life who had helped him along his journey, paying homage to them.
That evening, as the lottery draw results were announced, he received a notification from the dmcGO mobile app. When he saw that the winning numbers were “410 + 140,” and the zodiac symbol was exactly the “Tiger” he had selected, he was left in utter disbelief.
I literally slapped myself to make sure I wasn’t dreaming!” he said.
The man won a staggering RM2,151,664 from the 3+3D lottery, a fortune that he credited to a combination of fate and his devotion to the promise he made.
Chose to give it all away
But what truly sets this story apart is not just the grand win, but his decision to give it all away. Instead of indulging in luxury, such as traveling the world or purchasing high-end cars, he honored the vow he made to his ancestors.
Inspired by his grandfather and great-grandfather, both of whom were educators and strong supporters of the education sector, he decided to donate the entire RM2.15 million to his school, giving back to the place that helped shape him.
This heartwarming story not only showcases incredible luck but also an inspiring commitment to education and philanthropy.
