A man from Pakistan broke down in tears after a restaurant he had built from the ground up with his own hands and money was raided by immigration officers.
Aside from the restaurant getting raided, every item from the premise was also seized, leading him to burst into hysterics.
Foreign man breaks down after restaurant gets raided
According to a report by Kosmo, the Pakistani man’s restaurant was paid a “surprise” visit by officers from the Kuala Lumpur Immigration Department (JIM) after he was found to be running it under his wife’s permit and employing foreign workers.

He later admitted to it during questioning by the officers and told them he had been living in Malaysia for the past 10 years and married a Malaysian woman.
Aside from the interrogation, the chairs, tables, cooking equipment, and kitchen cabinets were seized by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) for further action from the man’s restaurant.
When officers tried arresting the man, he began crying and screaming while begging for mercy.
I had to pay RM70,000 for all these restaurant items. I’m earning a halal living for my wife and children. I want to die, I’m not a criminal!”

10 others detained
Meanwhile, Kuala Lumpur Immigration Director Wan Mohammed Saupee Wan Yusoff said the man was arrested along with eight other men and two women in the raid codenamed Op Selera, which was conducted at around 11:30pm on Sunday (July 27).
In a separate operation carried out on the same day (Op Kutip), several foreigners suspected to be illegal immigrants (PATI) were detained around Bukit Bintang.
The case is being investigated under Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63, Section 15(1)(c) of the same act, and Regulation 39(b) of the Immigration Regulations 1963.
