Hitchhiking, while not a common practice in Malaysia, is sometimes used by individuals looking for a free ride in someone’s car when they don’t have the means to hail a taxi.
For one lorry driver, his encounter with hitchhiking took a bizarre turn after he discovered a man lying on the rear of his vehicle along the Shah Alam Expressway (KESAS) and proceeded to shed his clothes when told to disembark.
Honking leads to bizarre discovery
In a video posted on Facebook, the lorry driver recounted the sequence of events which led to him making the shocking discovery.

According to him, he was driving along the Kesas Highway when he heard cars honking incessantly at him from behind.
Thinking that there was a mechanical issue with his lorry, the driver stopped and conducted all the necessary safety checks but everything appeared to be in order.
However, he wasn’t prepared to see a man lying on the rear platform which was attached to the lorry.

To further add on to the already bewildering situation, the man began taking off his clothes and laid down on his back when the lorry driver told him to stop ‘hitchhiking’ a ride from him.
Needless to say, this left the lorry driver at a loss over what to do, where he could be heard lamenting, “No matter how hard I tried to shoo him away, he just kept taking off his clothes at a faster rate.
“I really didn’t know whether to laugh or call the police,” he added.

Amused reactions
In the comment section, netizens found the situation hilarious, with some cracking jokes over it and others sympathising with the driver.
‘This is seriously stressful, bro.’

‘The man saying to himself: How is my bed able to move and now it suddenly stopped? Where am I?’

‘I want to buy (your) car number plate, bro. Maybe it’ll hit the Toto jackpot.’
