A 50-year-old man was arrested after he was caught on camera getting involved in a road rage incident which saw him deliberately reversing into a Perodua Axia several times.
Footage of the incident was released by Johor police, along with a statement providing more details.
Hilux driver reverses into Perodua Axia 3 times
In the clip, the man, who was driving a Hilux, is seen reversing the car into the Perodua Axia, hitting it with such force that it backed into the Axia driver.

Still seemingly not satisfied, the Hilux driver moves the vehicle forward before setting it to reverse gear once more and rams into the Axia again.
After that, the Hilux driver speeds away before the Axia driver could confront him.

Johor Bahru (South) police chief Assistant Commissioner Raub Selamat later said in a statement that the road rage incident took place at Jalan Tun Razak at around 3.10pm on Sunday (June 22).
He added initial investigations found that the Axia driver had slowed down the vehicle as he had missed a turn.
This caused the Hilux driver, who was driving behind, to overtake aggressively and angrily accost the Axia driver for slowing down.
Following the verbal altercation, the Hilux driver proceeded to ram into the Axia three times, resulting in damages worth RM15,300.

Had 7 criminal records
Raub also revealed that checks found that the Hilux driver, who was later arrested, had seven prior criminal records but isn’t on the police’s wanted list and tested negative for drugs.
He will be brought to the Johor Bahru Magistrate Court for a remand order under Section 117 of the Penal Act today.
Police are probing the incident under Section 427 of the Penal Code for committing mischief and causing damage, which carries an imprisonment of up to 5 years, a fine, or both upon conviction.

Additionally, the case is also being investigated under Section 279 of the Penal Code for rash driving on a public way and Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless and dangerous driving.
