A woman who attempted to commit suicide by jumping off a building yesterday (April 17) and later rescued by a group of firefighters is suspected to be a famous local influencer, reported Guang Ming Daily.
The incident is believed to have taken place at an apartment in Puchong Jaya at about 12:18pm.
After receiving a distress call, twelve firefighters were dispatched and arrived at the scene to start rescue work.
The woman could be seen sitting on the ledge while a firefighter descends the building with a rope to reach her. She could also be heard screaming at the top of her lungs as the quick-thinking firefighter tied the rope around her to prevent her from falling while trying to calm her down.
Thanks to the fearless firefighters, it was reported that the woman is now safe and sound, but police have yet to uncover the reason why she attempted to jump off the building.
According to a now-viral screenshot, the woman wrote a suicide note to fans in her Telegram group, saying, “Only death can atone for my sins. Goodbye, everyone”. However, the authenticity of the message is yet to be verified.
Subsequently, the woman’s family members posted an update on her Instagram account saying that she is still emotionally unstable and that they will make a public apology on her behalf.
