The Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) program gives all Malaysians aged 18 and above RM100 digital aid to buy essentials.
It is a government initiative carried out with MyKasih Foundation to help reduce daily expenses.
Program duration
The aid will be available from 31 Aug 2025 to 31 Dec 2025, where beneficiaries must use their credit within this period at participating outlets.

The RM100 aid will be credited directly into recipients’ MyKad, which functions as a digital wallet for the program.

Who is eligible?
All Malaysian citizens aged 18 years and above qualify for the RM100 SARA assistance.
No additional application process is required as eligibility can be checked online.

How to check SARA eligibility and balance
Recipients can go to checkstatus.mykasih.net/sara2/checkstatus and enter their NRIC. The portal is available in Malay, English, Chinese, and Tamil.

With their MyKad, shoppers can make purchases at participating outlets, limited to the following essential categories:
- Rice
- Eggs
- Instant noodles
- Canned goods
- Drinks
- Seasoning products
- Biscuits
- Cooking oil
- Bread
- Hygiene products
- Flour
- Home cleaning essentials
- Medications
- School supplies
Non-essential items such as alcohol and tobacco are excluded.

Where to use the aid
The credit is stored digitally on your MyKad and can be spent at registered supermarkets, mini-markets, and grocery outlets nationwide under the MyKasih network.
Beneficiaries can also download the MyKasih app to monitor their balance, see the approved products, and find nearby shops that accept the aid.
This initiative is part of the government’s plan to ease the cost of living and ensure every adult Malaysian has access to basic needs.
