The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) have announced that multiple road closures and diversions will take place across parts of the Klang Valley and Putrajaya during Chinese President Xi Jinping’s official state visit to Malaysia next week.
According to Bukit Aman’s Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) director, Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri, the temporary closures will run from Tuesday (Apr 15) to Thursday (Apr 17).
17 roads to be affected for 30 to 45 minutes
A total of 17 roads and highways will be affected by the full closures and diversions. Each closure is expected to last between 30 to 45 minutes to facilitate the safe movement of the official delegation.
Traffic flow will be restored immediately after the convoy passes, police confirmed.
Among the major routes impacted include the ELITE Highway, MEX Highway, and Jalan Sultan Abdul Halim.
To ensure smooth operations, 378 traffic officers and police personnel will be on duty for escort and control assignments throughout the visit.
Authorities urge motorists to remain patient and follow instructions issued by traffic personnel stationed on the ground.

Public advised to plan ahead
JSPT has advised the public to avoid the affected roads during the stated times and plan alternate routes in advance.
Motorists are also reminded to comply with all instructions given by traffic personnel to ensure public safety and reduce congestion.
