A restaurant operator was seriously injured after being shot multiple times by unknown assailants in Nibong Tebal last night.
The incident is believed to have occurred at around 10pm, when two helmeted and masked suspects arrived at the scene on a motorcycle.
One of them reportedly remained on the motorcycle while the other approached the victim, who was standing in front of his eatery, before opening fire.

Rushed to hospital for emergency treatment
After being shot, the victim is said to have fled towards a neighbouring area before collapsing due to his injuries.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment and later transferred to another hospital for further care, as his condition was reported to be serious.
Unverified reports from the scene offered differing accounts on the number of shots fired and wounds sustained. However, these details have not been confirmed by authorities.
Yet to issue official statement
It is understood that the victim, believed to be about 38 years old, operates a car wash service during the day and runs a food stall in the evening.
Following the incident, police officers and forensic teams arrived at the scene to conduct investigations. The area was cordoned off with police tape as evidence was collected.
