Two days ago, a hearse was seen overtaking another vehicle by veering into the emergency lane, sparking a condensed debate online about the necessity and appropriateness of such an act.
A 9-second TikTok video from @omaryothman, captured a funeral car on the KL-Karak Highway overtaking another car by transitioning from the emergency lane through to the left and then merging into the right lane

Is this necessary for a hearse?
The uploader questioned the need for such haste, pointing out that the passenger it was carrying had already passed away.
This prompted discussions on social media, with some netizens arguing that funeral processes should be expedited, while others shared experiences of funeral cars driving normally even during peak traffic without issues.

“When my relative passes away, let me be the driver, and we can chill off to the view of Ampang Hill and watch the sunset.”
“Don’t forget to set up a tent, just bury it tomorrow, the land won’t run away.”

“Last time, when my relative passed away, we also passed through the KL-Karak Highway during peak hour. The hearse followed the road without any issues.”

“In this world, we need to act quickly in three key situations: pray when it’s time, handle funeral arrangements for the deceased immediately, and marry your soul mate to avoid wrongdoing.”
