Yesterday (Jan 27), Perak PAS chief Haji Razman Zakaria caused an uproar after a clip of him wrongfully claiming that Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh was the daughter of the late Yeoh Tiong Lay went viral online.
Despite his subsequent apology for the gaffe, Razman may now be facing legal action after Hannah announced her intention to sue him.
Hannah Yeoh: ‘Wait for letter from my lawyer’
In a post on her X (formerly Twitter) account, Hannah wrote that she would be taking legal action against Razman for slander.

“The statement made by Razman Zakaria, the Perak PAS commissioner, accusing me of various things, lasted more than one minute.
Wait for a letter from my lawyer. Slander must not be tolerated, especially among religious individuals.”
This comes after a clip surfaced online showing Razman claiming that Hannah was the “daughter of a rich man” and “the daughter of the founder of YTL Corporation”.
He later apologised for the error, adding that his speech was taking out of context by the media.
