Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) Berjaya Times Square has announced it will be shutting down, with its final screenings scheduled for 11/26/23, and officially ending operations on 11/27/23.
Opening its doors on 01/27/05, GSC Berjaya Times Square has been telling stories on the big screen for 17 years, a testament to its long-standing role in Malaysia’s film exhibition scene.
Reflecting on the years passed, GSC expressed appreciation for the community’s support.
“Your smiles, gasps, laughter, and applause will always echo in our hearts.” GSC wrote in their statement.
With the closing of this venue, GSC encourages its patrons to visit their next closest location, GSC LaLaport BBCC, ensuring to continue moviegoer’s film-loving journey.
A place with nostalgic memories
The recent announcement of GSC Berjaya Times Square’s impending closure has sparked a wave of nostalgia across social media, with netizens sharing their personal memories tied to the iconic cinema.
