A family was left terrified for their lives after a group of young people allegedly threw firecrackers into their home.
The incident was first brought to light in a series of TikTok videos originally posted by a user named @user069912170712, where it occurred at Kampung Changkat Kiri in Gombak.
Threw firecrackers into resident’s home
In one of the videos, it showed a member of the house filming the entire incident, where several firecrackers were thrown right into the porch of their house, sending sparks flying everywhere.
One of the firecrackers even landed in the kitchen area, where it was in danger of setting off a fire.
In another video, it showed the possible culprits behind the chaos, where a group of people were seen gathered outside a house and setting off fireworks.

Condemned by netizens
The clip has since triggered a storm of criticism from netizens, who were appalled by the group’s action in endangering public safety by throwing firecrackers haphazardly.
“Hope they get caught soon. Don’t let this species breed any further.”
“This can become a cause for a fire. Very dangerous.”
Others urged the OP to lodge a police report over the incident, saying that it was a crime to endanger public safety.
Police tracking down suspect
Bernama later reported that police are actively searching for an individual believed to have set the fireworks off, resulting in two people getting injured.
Gombak district acting police chief Supt Noor Ariffin Mohamad said police investigations found that the incident had taken place on Mar 31 at around 12.05am and left a 19-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman injured in the ear and thigh.
The case is currently being probed under Section 435/324 of the Penal Code for committing mischief by fire or any explosive substance.
Witnesses to the matter are also urged to come forward and contact investigating officer, Insp Nur Atikah Adnan at 018-3648044.
